Red Elephants News · Post-Game Interview with KJ Buffen 1/12/18

We caught up with Gainesville forward KJ Buffen after Friday’s victory over Winder-Barrow. After capturing the lead early in the game, Buffen and Gainesville never let up en route to a blowout win by a score of 73-35.

How do you think the team played as a whole tonight?

KJ: I think we played really well, which helped us to get a win tonight.

What were the keys to your team’s success in this game?

KJ: We just went out there and played hard tonight. We played together and shared the ball well.

In your opinion, how has the team progressed since the beginning of this season?

KJ: Honestly, we’ve improved a lot in every aspect of the game. We’ve gotten stronger as a team as the season has gone on.

What do you believe the team needs to improve on?

KJ: We need to improve on our outside shooting. If we can do this, it will help us a lot later in the season.

With this win, Gainesville improves to 11-6 on the season and 4-0 in Region 8-AAAAAA. They are currently on an eight game win streak. Their next game is on Tuesday, January 16th, when they will travel to face region opponent Apalachee.
