Lady Red Elephant Basketball at Lanierland Monday

    The GHS girls team will defend its 2014 Lanierland title. Athletic Director Billy Kirk commented, GHS community will be supporting them in the upcoming tournament. The girls will open at 6 p.m. Monday as the number 1 vs. Johnson (8). Go Big Red!!!

Gainesville Boys Basketball playing in the King of Bluegrass

The opening matchup of the second day of King of the Bluegrass action featured out-of-state opponents Brentwood Academy (7-0) and Gainesville (6-1). The Eagles of Brentwood Academy struggled from three-point range missing four early long-range shots but used defensive pressure to take a 9-5 lead. GHS Swimmers do well at RMA meet

GHS swimmers finished 2nd with 92 points in the swim meet at Riverside M.A. Wednesday Dec. 16. The host team RMA finished 1st with 137 points. Flowery Branch came in third with 75, followed by Chestatee with 70. West Hall finished 5th with 53 points. Congratulations to the GHS swimmers. Go Big Red!!!

GHS Wrestlers win again

Big Red Wrestlers score big beating Appalachee 56-14 last night. Anthony Constatini continued his winning ways by adding another pin to his stats this season. Congratulations Wrestlers. Go Big Red!!!

Head Coach Bruce Miller attended Heisman Awards

Coach Miller was attend the Heisman Awards in New York over the weekend. He was there as part of the Gainesville contingent supporting Deshaun Watson. It is a trip Coach Miller hopes to make two more times. Coach Miller did take time to get up close and personal with the Heisman Trophy.

Red Elephant boys chalk up another win

After trailing at the end of the first period 15-17 the GHS boys light the fire and run past Salem 86-60. D’Marcus Simonds was the Elephants top scorer with 18 points on the night. Three others were in double figures, Michael White had 15, Tae Turner with 12, and Bailey Minor added another 10. KJ

Red Elephant Ladies continue winning ways

Playing at home the Ladies gave the crowd something to cheer about for the second night in a row. Taylor Hawks lead the team with 16 points on the evening. The final score Gainesville 47 Salem 31. The Red Elephants are now 6-2 on the year and in Region 8 AAAAA 5-0. The Ladies next
