NCAA Division I Initial-Eligibility Academic Requirements

There are new requirements for college-bound student-athletes enrolling full time at an NCAA Division I college or university on or after August 1, 2016. Minimum core-course GPA of 2.300 required for competition; Ten core courses required before beginning of senior year for competition; and Slight changes in GPA/test score index (sliding scale). Region’s Bank Director’s Cup awarded to Gainesville Athletics

Gainesville High School Athletic Department is awarded the Region’s Director’s Cup. The purpose of the Regions Director’s Cup is to recognize those athletic departments in all GHSA classifications who have excelled and shown superior performance.
