Volleyball improves to 31-11 after sweep on Thursday

The Lady Red Elephants closed their regular season with a sweep of Cedar Shoals 2-0 (25-10, 25-17) and Discovery 2-0 (25-8, 25-10). Sydney King led with 3 aces, 4 assists, and 10 digs.  Caroline Mercer added 5 aces and 5 digs.  Morgan Frazier had 5 kills.  Tangi Miller had 3 kills.  Bessie Winston added 4 kills

Lady Red Elephants faced tough competition tonight

The Lady Red Elephant volleyball squad dropped Area 8-AAAAA matches against Winder-Barrow (25-18, 24-26, 27-25) and Apalachee (21-25, 25-23, 25-21) Wednesday. Sydney King had 37 digs and 2 assists.  Caroline Mercer had 4 digs and 1 ace.  Morgan Frazier added 2 kills. Our Lady Red Elephant Volleyball defeated Clarke Central and Heritage tonight in play in Athens. The Gainesville High volleyball team defeated Clarke Central (25-17, 25-17) and Heritage (25-15, 25-7) Tuesday night in Athens. Hall County Volleyball Championship play today

The Lady Red Elephants add 3 more victories to their season. This brings the overall record to 27-9, 4-0 in Area 8-AAAAA. The Lady Red Elephants finished 2nd in the annual Hall County Volleyball Tournament today.  GHS opened with pool play against North Hall (Loss 25-15, 11-25, 12-15), Chestatee (Win 25-8, 25-14), and Johnson (Win 25-10, 25-8).

Red Elephant Softball team on a roll
