Red Elephant boys chalk up another win

After trailing at the end of the first period 15-17 the GHS boys light the fire and run past Salem 86-60. D’Marcus Simonds was the Elephants top scorer with 18 points on the night. Three others were in double figures, Michael White had 15, Tae Turner with 12, and Bailey Minor added another 10. KJ

Red Elephants down Clarke Central

The GHS boys definitely came out to play at home Friday night with a 28-6 first period rampage. At the half it was 51-26. The game ended 87-70 with Bailey Minor leading four Elephants in double digits. Minor had 19 on the night Tae Turner had 17 KJ Buffen added an additional 14 and D’Marcus

Double overtime win for Big Red Boys Basketball

After trailing most of the game Big Red ties the game 62 all at the end of the fourth period to go into overtime. Again at the end of the first overtime period it was tied up 69 all. Two clutch free throws in the second overtime by Messiah Dorsey put the game over the top

Red Elephant Boys Defeat Loganville

Gainesville boys basketball won big against Loganville with a 70-39 victory. Scoring leaders for the Red Elephants were KJ Buffen with 14, D’Marcus Simonds with 12. In total 12 different Red Elephants scored in the victory. Gainesville will take on Cedar Shoals Tuesday in Athens with both teams listed in the top 10.

Red Elephant Boys Basketball open region play with a win

On the road to Heritage the boys added another victory tonight. Winning the game 85 – 79 the Elephants were lead in scoring by D’Marcus Simonds with 26, Baily Minor with 20 and K J  Buffen with 15. The boys will return home on Friday to face Loganville. Friday will also be Toys for Tots

Basketball vs Dacula Monday November 16

The Red Elephant Girls and Boys Basketball teams will take on Dacula on Monday evening. The Girls will play at 6 pm followed by the boys at 7:30. Come out and show your support for the Red Elephant basketball programs. Go Big Red!!!  

Early Signing Day for Three Red Elephants

Jonathan Gettys, Spencer Ralston and Demarcus Simonds share the spotlight this morning at GHS. All three have committed to further their education and athletic skills at the next level. Jonathan signed a Letter of Intent with LSU Baseball, Spencer signed with UGA Golf and Demarcus signed with Georgia State to play Basketball. Everyone here at
