Red Elephant Basketball Tuesday Jan. 26

The Red Elephant Basketball teams will be back in action on Tuesday evening. This will be KICKING CANCER NIGHT and we will be playing Flowery Branch. The Girls will play at 6pm followed by the Boys at 7:30pm. The games against Lanier that were cancelled due to the winter weather will be played on Thursday

Lady Red Elephants post another win

Playing in front of a home crowd tonight the Lady Red Elephants led wire to wire. Leading by nine at the end of the first period 20-11 and by 18 going into halftime 33-15. The final score was Gainesville 50 Winder Barrow 35. Taylor Hawks lead the Red Elephants with 22 points on the night

Lady Red Elephants fly high against Apalachee

Apalachee scored the first points of the game, but that lead was short lived. The Red Elephants responded with an 18-0 run to lead at the end of the first period 20-5. By the end of the second period with many of the Red Elephant starters resting on the bench the score was GHS 32

GHS Lady Basketball win tonight

The Lady Red Elephants just keep rolling along winning 47-33 over East Hall at home tonight. Leading at the end of one 12-9 the Elephants extended it to 22-16 going into the half. By the end of the third period it was 38-27 in favor of the Red Elephants. To close out the fourth period

Third place finish for the Lady Red Elephants

GHS Ladies defeat North Hall Ladies 39-33 to take a Third Place finish at the Lanierland Tournament this afternoon. Trailing at the end of the first 10-11 and second 21-22 periods the Ladies tie the score at 28 in the third. Taylor Hawks and Kayla Kelly teamed up to spark a fourth period run. Congratulations

GHS Ladies to face North Hall tomorrow

Lady Red Elephant Basketball at Lanierland Monday

    The GHS girls team will defend its 2014 Lanierland title. Athletic Director Billy Kirk commented, GHS community will be supporting them in the upcoming tournament. The girls will open at¬†6 p.m. Monday as the number 1 vs. Johnson (8). Go Big Red!!!
